The Resurrected Christ appeared to Paul (Acts 9) to reveal to him a Mystery kept hidden from the beginning of the world (Ephesians 3:3-9) but now it is the only Salvation message for Jew and non Jews, Gentiles. This message is what Paul calls My Gospel (Romans 2:16) and it represents the current Gospel we’re all going to be judged by (Romans 2:16).
Romans 2:16 (KJV)
“In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.”
This Gospel is summarized by Paul and highlights Christ’s finished work on the Cross as God’s Gift, for you to receive through Faith:
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJV)
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you THE gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
By which also ye are SAVED, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
As soon as you believe this Gospel you are SEALED with the Holy Spirit:
Ephesians 1:13 (KJV)
“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.”
You become a New Creation:
2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
You’re now a son of God:
Romans 8:15 (KJV)
“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.”
You become a member of the Church Body of Christ:
Ephesians 1:22-23 (KJV)
“And hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fulness of Him that filleth all in all.”
Great news! Isn’t it? As soon as you believe that Christ the Jewish Messiah died for all your past, present, and future sins, including original sin, was buried, and rose again for your justification, you are saved and sealed forever.
What’s next?
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 (KJV)
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
What to do until then?
2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Romans 12:2 (KJV)
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV)
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
Read first Paul’s epistles Romans through Philemon and discover his story beginning in Acts 9, after the fall of Israel. Realize that these books are meant exclusively for you and it is crucial that you understand this message.
1 Corinthians 14:37-38 (KJV)
“If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord. But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.”
Are there others I can fellowship with?
I would love to say there’s a lot of solid resources but most are mainly denominational. But you’re not alone. If you have any questions, insights, need prayers, or want to fellowship with other members of the Body of Christ, join our public facebook group Revivalist Movement, Reviving the Word. Iron sharpens iron. In the near future, we’ll start a Bible Study focused on Paul’s epistles, guided by Les Feldick Through the Bible (most of his groups are finishing Hebrews and a second study got confusing for some so I had to stop). We’ll start Les’ signature Verse by Verse teaching and minimal opinions asking What Does The Book Say? at the Book of Acts, when God chose Paul to write specifically to us about the Mystery hidden before the world began.
Words of advice
Paul’s writings concerning Salvation are hard to be understood, Peter says, but we have God’s promise that the Holy Spirit will reveal ALL things to the Believer, each in its due time, according to the Power that works in us and to the measure of Faith we’ve been given. It took Paul three years in Arabia with the Risen Lord to Renew his Mind, unlearning and learning.
We need a humble and teachable spirit, let’s remember that His Holy Word automatically bears fruit in a fertile heart. Beholding as in a mirror His Grace and Glory, we become it. We’re Ambassadors of His Powerful Spiritual Kingdom where we’ve been translated into (Colossians 1:13) upon belief.
Some things to keep in mind as you read through your Bible:
- There are two original Greek texts, the King James Bible was based on the compilation that the Church of Antioch used, which is lost now. All other versions are based on the latin or found texts. The KJB fulfills the promise of God to preserve His Word for us (Psalm 12:6-7).
- The Holy Spirit identifies audiences for a reason. Rightly Divide His Word by Audience: Israel? Body of Christ? (Mathew 15:24).
- Rightly Divide Prophecy and Mystery (Ephesians 3:9).
- Rightly Divide the Timeline given by the Holy Spirit: Times Past, Ages to Come, But Now (Romans 3.21).
- Rightly Divide His Heavenly Kingdom discerned Spiritually (1 Corinthians 2:14), and His Earthly Kingdom promised to Israel (Zechariah 14:4).
- Rightly Divide that we’re not under law but under Grace (Romans 6:14).
- Believe God when He says He chose Paul as our Apostle (Acts 26:16) and his Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) to judge us by (Romans 2:16). This is the new Dispensation ( Colossians 1:25) of Christ. The only sin is Unbelief.
- Believe Jesus when He said It Is Finished! at the Cross 2000 years ago. It is by His Grace that He purchased our freedom with His Blood and our healing with His broken Body, as Paul says that the Communion Testifies of, and with it, we proclaim His death till He comes for us (1 Corinthians 11:26).
- Remember that God showed His Love for us (Romans 5:8) through Christ, reconciling us, enemies, to Himself (2 Corinthians 5:19)
